If you’re going to have action, you gotta have light.

Last week we talked about the importance of bringing the audio into your smart phone with the use of a lavaliere mic. If you tried it, let me know how it went. This week we will talk about light.
This is not a sanctimonious rant on the proper lumens and color of your lamps and why you need to buy the brands that we recommend. I want you to be able to light up your subject, which will likely be you. I also want you to save money.
Now that we can hear you well, I do think we should make it possible to see you, and the better the light – the better you look. Crazy? I know.
Well, you have lamps and stuff around the house. Many indie films have been made using worklights from Lowes. That’s something, but I suggest some cool LED video lights from Amazon. Start with one and set it off at a slight angle instead of pointing it squarely at your face. After you get this little light working for a while, get another, and then another. But small beginnings, right?
